When we think about our favorite brands, we often picture their recognizable logos, like the Target bullseye or the iconic Apple logo. But what actually is a brand? A brand is more than just a logo – it’s a combination of color, typography, brand strategy, voice, and many other elements that work together to create something impactful.
To build a successful brand, all of these elements should be developed at the same time to ensure brand integrity. Simply designing a logo won’t be enough to help your business reach its goals. You need a cohesive brand that is recognizable and builds trust with your audience, from the way you present yourself visually on social media to the way you respond to emails.
When I work on a new brand, I like to dive into the business, industry, and audience to get a sense of what needs to be created. Building a brand starts with a strong foundation – a brand strategy. This is imperative to have before building out any logos. Without a brand strategy, your brand identity may fall short of your goals.
Knowing your brand goals is essential to designing a brand that truly represents your business. Your brand identity’s color palette, use of typography, and overall style should all work together to help you reach your goals and tell your business’s story.
Investing in brand strategy is just as important as investing in your business. Designing a logo without a brand strategy won’t provide the same value as a comprehensive branding approach. So, let’s work together to create a strong, cohesive brand that will help your business succeed and grow!
Designing a logo without a brand strategy is like building a house without a foundation. The branding investment for your business won’t provide the same value and impact without it.
